A Rustic Spring Wedding at The Brownstone in Paterson, New Jersey

Albert Manzo (27 and a CPA) and Alycia Moore (27 at a teacher) were introduced through a mutual friend and Albert's colleague. They parted amicably after dating for a short while, but they reconnected three years later and became closer than ever. After four years together, Albert waited until they closed the deal on their first home before proposing in the middle of their new garage. Conveniently, when it came time to pick out a wedding venue, Albert had the perfect place in mind--The Brownstone, a historic property owned by his two uncles in Paterson, New Jersey. Alycia and Albert had a stunning ceremony in the venue's conservatory before heading off to their waterfront reception at the Packanack Lake Clubhouse in Wayne, New Jersey. Inspired by a casual rustic aesthetic, the couple incorporated lots of burlap table linens, brown paper garlands, and mason-jar-inspired invitations and place cards. Alycia collected vases from local garage sales for the pink and green hydrangea, rose, ranunculus, and peony centerpieces with sliced lemons for added vibrancy. Bridesmaids wore short gold dresses with chunky statement necklaces, while the groomsmen opted against jackets and wore black vests with casual and comfortable black Converse sneakers (the groom's favorite). For a special surprise, Alycia presented her groom with a three-tier, superhero-inspired groom's cake as a nod to his love of comic books. Despite serving two separate wedding cakes, Alycia and Albert wanted to fill up their guests with even more sweet treats, so they sent each attendee home with a mini apple pie from their favorite local bakery.
