A Rustic Spring Backyard Wedding at a Private Home in Davisboro, Georgia

Fresh hydrangeas, grape vines and a garden-inspired palette of lavender, gray and green gave Sara Webb (28 and a second grade teacher) and Chase Crawford’s (32 and a crop inspector) rural nuptials an elegant, country feel.

A 200-year-old log cabin Sara’s parents restored served as the idyllic location for the couple’s vows. “It’s a special place my parents worked very hard to build,” Sara says. “We wanted an outdoor venue that meant something to us.”

Sara clutched an arrangement of antique hydrangeas, her favorite bloom.

Family and friends came together to bring Sara and Chase’s into-the-woods affair to life. Guests contributed various cakes that ranged from vanilla butternut to Southern pecan praline, and a family friend hand-painted the floor cloth that lined the paved aisle. “It was beautiful and perfect for our setting,” Sara says. At the end of the night, partygoers saw the newlyweds off by tossing dried lavender into the air.
