A Rustic Southern Charm Wedding at Blandy Farm in Boyce, Virginia
Kamryn Newlin (24 and an animal caretaker) met Daniel Dixon (24 and a Staff Sergeant Air National Guard) met at work where they began talking and hit it off, discovering each others adventurous sides. They went to a casual lunch once but their first official date was a skydiving trip! A year later the two were on a trip and heading back to their hotel. When they got inside, Kamryn saw a box- the box- on the table but when she opened it there was nothing inside. She turned around to question Daniel but saw he had already gotten on one knee, with the ring, to propose. Kamryn and Daniel bothT love the outdoors and found their perfect venue at Blandy Farm. They decorated their ceremony and reception areas in purple and cream, allowing the natural setting to be the main decor. The tables were decorated in burlap runners and twine wrapped wine bottles to create a beautiful neutral base for the simple, bright centerpieces. Guests were treated to a dinner buffet of barbecue with country sides and classic southern sweet tea. As a special tribute to the groom, whom the bride nicknamed "honey bear", everyone was sent home with a little honey bear full of local freshly made honey. It was the perfect gift to tie into their sweet rustic theme.
