A Rustic, Romantic Wedding at Weatherwood in Columbia Falls, Montana

Jenna Dehekker (30 and a petroleum engineer) and Dave Marttila (40 and a business development manager) had a simple, laid-back, rustic country wedding at Weatherwood in Columbia Falls, Montana, just 20 minutes from Glacier National Park. Jenna and Dave, who met through work, focused more on their guests relaxing and having a good time and spent less time stressing over details. They let the bridesmaids wear whatever dress they wanted, while the groomsmen wore white button-downs with jeans (no ties, no dress pants and no dress shoes required). There was no seating chart, and their dinner was a Mexican buffet complete with margaritas. Kids were welcome at the celebration, and it was obvious Jenna and Dave put a lot of thought into ensuring the little ones had fun. They had an ice cream truck on-site, a magician performing throughout dinner, and a babysitter helping out in a designated kids' area. After dinner, the barn doors opened to show off a "party barn" with a dance floor, a full bar, separate seating lounges and a dress-up area complete with vintage Western wear, fur coats, hats and boots. "Everyone, and I mean everyone, took advantage of dressing up," Jenna says. For the indoor reception, Dave changed into a flannel shirt, while Jenna slipped into a knee-length party dress and cowboy boots. "We had so many people tell us it was one of the best weddings they've been to," Jenna says. "It's because we really just wanted everyone to enjoy themselves alongside family and friends." —Chrissy Sorenson
