High-school sweethearts Cory (23 and an entrepreneur) and Paige (an administrative assistant) go back much further than most people expect. "We've known one another for most of our lives!" Paige explains. "We met in the second grade and dated briefly in the seventh before finally becoming an official couple during our junior year of high school. Five years later, we got engaged among family and friends at our favorite restaurant in our hometown." For their summer nuptials, the couple started searching for a charming venue that would fit their rustic wedding theme. "We found The Enchanted Barn and both fell in love with it the second we stepped foot inside," Paige says. "It was out in the middle of nowhere and it really felt like we were running away to get married." The bright and beautiful venue served as the backdrop for the couple's DIY August wedding that included handmade elements like wood table numbers, runners and chalkboard signs. "We knew from the start what kind of wedding we wanted -- rustic, but not country!" the bride explains. "We did a year's worth of antiquing -- picking out mason jars, windowpanes, vintage suitcases, cigar boxes and crates." The result was a romantic reception with plenty of homemade flair. Another element absolutely necessary to their big day? Arrangements from Avalon Floral. "We wanted to use the same florist that we had went to for all of our proms, homecoming and earlier anniversaries," Paige explains. "Sandy and the team from Avalon Floral did nothing short of a magical job!" After the couple exchanged vows in front of 225 friends and family members, guests were treated to yard games, cigars, s'mores and a camp fire. "The whole day reflected our love for each other and our guests," the bride says.

The bride kept her look simple with a white lace dress paired with flip flops. "I just wanted to be comfortable!" she laughs.
Ranunculus and succulents added a sweet touch to each ceremony chair.

"Being in Wisconsin at the end of August, it was extremely hot and humid, so I wanted a dress that was light and easy to move in," the bride explains.
A friend of the couple's contacted them about doing the stationary. "She's a newly-graduated graphic designer -- and a talented one at that!" Paige says.
