A Rustic, Romantic Wedding at High West Distillery in Park City, Utah

Linda and Justin Lew whisked their family and friends off to the Park City, Utah, for their summer wedding at the celebrated High West Distillery.

“Since it was the first time the majority of our guests had visited Utah, we wanted to have our events at a variety of locations utilizing the stunning backdrops that Park City has to offer,” Linda says. “We were excited to showcase the beauty of our new home to all the out-of-town visitors!”

Nestled high on the mountains overlooking Park City, the High West Distillery fit the bill. The couple played up the venue’s relaxed, rustic vibe with a color palette of soft sage green, blush, peach and cream; wood accents; and romantic rose and baby’s breath bouquets arranged in simple glass bottles. “The mountain-chic feel fit our personalities and the down-to-earth vibe we wanted for the day—something more stiff and formal wouldn’t have reflected who we are as a couple.”

Linda tapped her sister’s artistic talents to give the day a punch of personal flair. In addition to creating custom illustrations for the programs, she dressed up the escort cards with playful gold calligraphy and created hand-lettered chalkboard signs for the reception. The handmade touches lent a warm and inviting edge to the décor.

As a nod to the locale, whiskey bottles were incorporated into the centerpieces, and whiskey barrels framed the rose-trimmed wood wedding arch during the reception.” We were incredibly lucky that the venue was so picturesque on its own—there was no need to go overboard with the décor,” Linda says.

Before the couple hit the floor for their first dance, their DJ presented their love story. In the months leading up to the wedding, the couple provided the DJ with anecdotes about how they met, their first date, their engagement story and more, which he transformed into a fun-filled performance that went over big with guests. “It was a fun and unique way to share our story with guests,” Linda says.
