Cheryl Dale (32 and works in aviation) and Cory White (32 and works for Town of Castle Rock) met through a friend online. The couple wanted a rustic wedding and found the perfect fit with Crooked Willow Farms. They loved the red brick and wood barn, which matched their red, black and white color palette. Although they originally planned to get married in the gardens, they moved inside to Lola’s Loft because of the weather. However, they loved the added rustic touches from the lantern chandeliers and the intimate feel from the low ceilings. Cheryl made a lot of the wedding details herself such as the black-and-white stationery, anemone and hydrangea bouquets and hydrangea and burlap centerpieces. But, the best part was the delicious menu from Three Tomatoes Catering. “Our menu was BBQ,” Cheryl says. “Cow-town tri-tip steak, roasted herb chicken, romaine salad with cornbread croutons, campfire beans, mac 'n cheese and rolls.”

Cheryl made all the stationery herself including the black-and-white invitation suite. The ornate detailing was used throughout the wedding like with the reception table centerpieces.
Three Round-Cut Diamond Engagement Ring
Cheryl wore a simple strapless beaded organza and lace dress from David’s Bridal.
The bridesmaids wore black cocktail dresses and the groomsmen wore black suits with red ties.
Cheryl made her white anemones and hydrangeas bouquet herself. The bridesmaids carried lush red hydrangea bouquets, which Cheryl also made herself.
The groom wore two white roses tied with burlap on his lapel for his boutonniere.
Although Cheryl and Cory originally planned to get married in the gardens, they moved inside to Lola’s loft because of the weather. “I think this was the best thing that could of happened,” Cheryl says. “It made our ceremony so intimate. Our pastor also made it very personable. He had known us for a little over a year, was a great friend and we were blessed to of had him marry us. The things he said to us were spot on. I think having your pastor know us was the added touch.”

Cheryl and Cory Recessional
Cheryl and Cory gave guests horseshoes with notes that read, “Hung upward so the luck wont run out. Hung downward so the luck can pour on you. However you place the luck of our love, please place this gift of luck and love in your home as a token of ours. Thank you for celebrating our day with us. We are lucky to have you in our lives.”
A Crooked Willow Farms Reception Venue
“Since the place was amazing as it was, we just wanted a little touch of personal things that made it ours,” Cheryl says. They decorated with black and red linens and a mixture of tall and short red hydrangea centerpieces.
The centerpieces included mason jars wrapped in black-and-white burlap that matched the stationery’s ornate design and were filled with red hydrangeas.
Cheryl and Cory enjoyed a three-tier white fondant wedding cake decorated with black ribbon and crystals. It was topped with red hydrangeas to match the wedding colors.
