A Rustic Red Wedding at Bayonet Farms in Holmdel, New Jersey

Between the sweet barn invitation suite, typewriter guestbook and natural red blooms, we can't get enough of Samantha Soto (27 and in marketing) and Alex Schwarm’s (28 and in television) red rustic wedding! Their theme even included a personal touch. “It combined our backgrounds and style - the rustic nature of farm life with the chic sophistication of the city,” says Samantha. The couple started their day with a photo shoot by Jenelle Kappe Photography before joining their guests for a church ceremony. Decor Galore, their florist, lined the aisle with burlap-wrapped arrangements of white hydrangeas and red roses as similar blooms surrounded the altar space. Alex stood by in a fun navy suit and silver tie as the bridesmaids started their procession in gorgeous long, red gowns. Samantha followed in a classic lace wedding dress and matching floor-length veil. After Samantha and Alex exchanged vows, all moved to Bayonet Farms for a tented reception. Something Social, the couple’s planner, lined each family-style table with a burlap runner and bright natural centerpieces as guests enjoyed lawn games, pictures in a photo booth and dancing to a DJ. Of course, they had to stop for a slice of wedding pound cake and groom's cake! Did we mention Alex won his? The team at Palermo's Bakery named him the second prize winner of a contest and baked a vintage film-inspired cake to commemorate his college major. All enjoyed a slice of both confections before ending the night on the dance floor. Samantha shares a tip: “Splurge on photo and video. We go through our photos and watch our video quite often!”
