The Bride Lindsey Derr, 27, a registered nurse at MD Anderson Cancer Center The Groom Kris Palmer, 33, works in industrial sales to the oil and gas industry The Date May 14 Lindsey knew she wanted to wear bright-pink shoes, so raspberry became the first wedding color she picked. She and Kris added sapphire and emerald to the mix to help create a cool, eclectic atmosphere at their rustic ranch venue.

The white ranunculus on Kris' lapel let his pink polka dot bow tie (which was picked to match Lindsey's shoes) be the focus.
Alternating round and square buttercream tiers had an unexpected look.
Colorful floral garlands hung from a metal arbor.
The couple transformed the ranch’s neutral-colored wooden pavilion with their cheery wedding colors.
Vibrant linens (sapphire runners and emerald napkins) popped against the bare-wood tables. Stemmed milk-glass vases filled with hot-pink flowers added even more color.
The girls represented each of the wedding colors in simple strapless frocks.
Romantic amber lighting gave the large pavilion space a warm and cozy atmosphere.
The all-green flowers looked even brighter and full of texture in paper-wrapped vases.
These bright-pink shoes with a floral detail inspired the day’s daring color palette.
Lindsey wanted a classic all-white bouquet and held freesias, peonies, tulips and ranunculus.
A bold, striped belly band added a graphic look to the blue invitation pockets.
A rustic wood sign pointed guests to the ceremony.
Lindsey’s mom hand-sewed a blue-and-white pillow to hold the rings.
Guests tossed buds of dried lavender (which “smelled amazing,” says Lindsey) as the couple raced out to their limo.
Mini apple pie bites served with fresh berries were a tasty alternative to cake.
