A Rustic, Organic Wedding at Magnolia Plantation and Gardens in Charleston, South Carolina
Keeping the theme of "organic romance” in mind, Erin McCaffery (29 and a regional merchandiser at Kate Spade New York) and RC Reed (34 and a sales manager at Verint Systems Inc) used a color palette of cream, blush, green and yellow for their day. “We wanted the venue to feel soft, organic and natural,” Erin says. “The venue was so pretty on it’s own, we wanted to enhance and not change the feeling!” After visiting Charleston on one of their first vacations together, the couple fell in love with the city, and Magnolia Plantation and Gardens—with its warm, natural aura—was the perfect place for their romantic nuptials. Wedding planner Andraya Northrup from Southern Protocol ensured all the details flawlessly came together and that Erin and RC got hitched without a hitch. One of our favorite parts was the stunning textured florals by Branch Design Studio that added an overgrown garden feel to the location with everything from the green hanging amaranthus alter decor to the bed of moss escort card display to the romantic white bridal bouquet. Wanting their whole family to be a special part of their day, Erin and RC’s English Bulldog, Tucker, served as the ring bearer and also inspired the signature drink! “Our signature drink was Tucker’s Tea in honor of our four-legged furbaby, and we also used the local Firefly Vodka. We had custom made drinking straws with a silhouette of a bulldog and ‘Tucker’s Tea’ on one side and our wedding logo on the other!” There are so many details we love—see them all, beautifully captured by Juliet Elizabeth Photography, below! A tip for the taking from Erin: “Like most brides, leading up to the wedding I was nervous if anyone was going to dance and have fun. My dear friend gave me the best advice and told me that guests take cues from the bride. If you are dancing and having fun everyone else will too!”
