A Rustic Mountain Wedding at The Ritz-Carlton, Bachelor Gulch in Avon, Colorado

Texans Jamie Goldberg and Elliot Gerson wanted a “fun and comfortable” celebration—“and for guests to feel as if they were on vacation too,” Jamie says of their destination wedding at The Ritz-Carlton, Bachelor Gulch in Avon, Colorado. Formal invitations and a personalized welcome bag (filled with snacks, water and an itinerary) set the stage for the affair. The bride chose a simple, modern dress with a high neckline and criss-crossed, open-back design. She accessorized with her mom's veil and carried a simple bouquet of white flowers and greenery. Elliot wore a classic black suit with a black bow tie. The Jewish ceremony took place at a natural outdoor space overlooking mountains. “The décor was modern with gray clean accents,” Jamie says. “Elliot and I both love aspen trees, and the base of our chuppah was aspen tree branches with greenery and white flowers.” Guests moved indoors for the reception, which had a gold and gray color palette. In order to “bring the beautiful greenery and mountains of Beaver Creek inside the ballroom," the couple decorated with hanging leaves, twinkle lights and plenty of candles. They served a modern tiered cake with gold foil detailing, and they also did a traditional cutting with a rectangular groom’s cake that resembled a Dr. Dre album cover.

Our favorite #MakeTradition Moment: “I have always been a big late-night Taco Bell fan, so as all the guests were walking out, we passed out Taco Bell,” Jamie says.
