April Nash (28, a Student) and Barry Murphy (31, a Financer) held their wedding in the mountains at SkiEsta in Newry, Maine. "We wanted a place we could have to ourselves, with family and friends, for the whole week and late into the night of the wedding. Once we found this venue and saw the views it had over the valley and ski resort, we immediately booked it," April says. A theme of burlap and lace with lots of natural greens brought out the rustic, natural vibe the couple wanted for their wedding. The couple and their families arranged all the decor for the wedding themselves, from the strung up lanterns, to the painted bottle centerpiece vases, to the tree slice table numbers, to the Kraft paper menu cards and the tree slice tower where the delicious doughnut desserts were displayed. "A lot of our efforts were focused on getting our family and friends together to have a good time and get to know each other since this will be one of the few times they’ll see each other," April says.
