A Rustic Mountain Wedding at Garden of the Gods Club and Resort in Colorado Springs, Colorado
Texas-based Idalia Alaniz and Eddie Flores had a destination wedding at Garden of the Gods Club and Resort in Colorado Springs, Colorado, because they loved the snow-topped mountain backdrop and weekend getaway feel. Sarah Viera from Sarah Viera Events worked with the couple to ensure they got hitched without a hitch as well as pulled all the details together. Idalia and Eddie had a traditional Catholic ceremony, with a lazo unity tradition where they used a rosary to symbolically unite as husband and wife. Although, the ceremony was very traditional, it was also outside in the gardens not only so they could make it their own, but also so the red rock and snow-covered mountains could be the backdrop. Liz Ash from Ambiance Floral created all of the floral arrangements with roses, hydrangeas and lady's mantle, which added a romantic touch to the otherwise rustic mountain wedding. Idalia and Eddie used a purple, green and ivory color palette with pops of blue and blush throughout the decor. They also added wood rounds to the centerpieces, mason jars to the aisle decor and burlap to the place settings for a little rustic flair. At the end of the night the couple enjoyed a rustic white buttercream cake decorated with burlap roses and a white wire and burlap heart cake topper. FUNction Pro Dj turned dinner into a party and had guests dancing into the night.
