A Rustic Mountain Wedding at Cooper Spur Mountain Resort in Mt Hood, Oregon

Karissa Smith (29 and a behavioral health manager) and Mitch Smith (30 and a project manager) went to high school together, but got to know each other more when they both attended Oregon State University. Several years after they graduated, the couple went to Timberline for the night. As they were snowshoeing up a hill, Mitch got down on one knee and proposed. The wedding took place inside the Cooper Spur Mountain Resort at Mt Hood Meadows, where the couple took weekend trips to go snowboarding. They wanted their love for the outdoors to be reflected throughout the day and focused around the natural d?cor of the wood that surrounded them. Subtle touches of their mint and coral color palette decorated the ceremony and reception space, along with candles rather than flowers. Karissa walked down the aisle wearing a simple strapless ivory wedding dress and a pair of flats for comfort. At the cocktail hour and reception, beer and wine was served and their DJ played music for guests to enjoy. “Mitch's stepdad and his band made a special guest appearance at the end of the night and played several songs for us, the closer was the Oregon State fight song,” says Karissa.
