Kasey Bailey (25 and a graduate student) and Chris Carpenter (24 and a restaurant manager) became friends after meeting in a college ministry bible study. Their instant connection turned into something more by their senior year of school and after a year of dating, Chris popped the question.  "He planned a special surprise trip to Savannah, GA since neither of us had been there before," says Kasey. "In the middle of Lafayette Square, right in front of the beautiful fountain, Chris proposed and he had even hired a local photographer to capture the moment!" Inspired by the bride's love for lace and a rustic-meets-vintage feel, Kasey and Chris planned a romantic farm celebration at Harvest Acres Barn in Limestone, Tennessee. The outdoor ceremony took place under a stunning lace-draped altar before guests were invited to enjoy an indoor barn reception. White rose and hydrangea arrangements enhanced the aqua and ivory color palette along with vintage books and personal photos. Lace and burlap table runners added to the shabby-chic decor and mixed centerpieces lent a personal feel. "We had a different centerpiece at each table because we wanted to create a special moment for the guests," says Kasey. "Some had vintage books stacked with lace doilies, some had lanterns and others had tea cups filled with flowers."

Inspired by her love of lace and vintage pieces, Kasey went with a romantic mint color palette with mixed centerpieces.

White roses, hydrangeas and peonies filled the rustic wood box centerpieces.
Kasey and her mother spent the summer before her wedding canning homemade strawberry, blackberry, blue berry and peach jam favors.

In addition to the sweet cookie bar, Kasey used her grandfather's old glass milk cartons to serve glasses of milk.
Small jars of honey complemented the homemade jam favors.

"We chose the Harvest Acres Barn in Limestone, TN because first time that I stepped inside the barn, I knew immediately I didn't need to look any further," says Kasey. This was my dream venue and it was just beautiful!"

"At the reception, we played the shoe game so our guests could get to know us a little better in a fun way," says Kasey. "We had so much fun answering the questions and laughing along with the crowd."
