A Rustic Lakefront Wedding at a Private Home in Drasco, Arkansas
Colleen Guidry (20 and a hair stylist) and Zachary Cashio (21 and an administrative assistant) were introduced through a mutual friend that Colleen knew through cosmetology school. The two hit it off instantly and not long after, Zachary sent a bouquet of flowers to Colleen's school that said "Lets cut to the chase, will you be my girlfriend?" The word "cut" was a picture of cutting shears. From then on the they were inseparable, enduring everything from a big move across the pond and life-changing illness. After several years together, Zachary proposed to Colleen at their home in Heber Springs, AR, presenting her with a pear shaped diamond ring with two side stones. For their wedding, the couple planned an outdoor affair at Colleen's family home in Drasco, AR, which offered beautiful lake views in an intimate setting. "I wanted the lake to be the main focus of our wedding, so I tried to choose decor that would complement the setting rather than overpower or detract from it," says Colleen. She and Zachary opted for an understated palette of neutral tones and incorporated organic touches like moss into the decor to achieve the rustic aesthetic they were after.
