A Rustic, Intimate Wedding at Wild Basin Lodge in Allenspark, Colorado

Ashton Blair (22 and works in nail tech and esthetician) and Brian Melton (26 and an IT manager) originally planned to have a large wedding full of all their friends and family. However, the stress of it all started to overshadow the reason they were getting married in the first place, so they decided to have an intimate wedding with only 20 guests, which is one of the best decisions they made for their day. “We both decided to keep it simple with just direct family who have really shaped us as individuals and as a couple,” Ashton says. “It was so special to be able to really focus on each guest and it felt like a truly intimate, but lively party, with the people we love most.” Ashton wore a Maggie Sottero blush lace mermaid dress that inspired the rest of the decor. The couple used a blush, ivory and burgundy color palette with DIY details such as the burlap rose centerpieces. “It all came together way better than I ever thought it would,” Ashton says. “I was so proud that day.”
