Roshni Singerman (who practices Hinduism) and Scott Singerman (who practices Judaism) merged their religions in a rustic interfaith wedding at Ru’s Farm in Healdsburg, California. “Our theme was about combining two different cultures in a sensible, respectful and thoughtful manner—a true Hinjew ” Roshni says. The bride wore a custom white and gold Indian wedding dress with mirrors, pearls, an extended train and pockets. She accessorized with traditional Indian jewelry (some of which were passed down from her family) and a cascading white bouquet of roses and lilies. Scott sported a simple blue suit and gold tie. At the outdoor ceremony, an aisle of rose petals led to the flower-covered chuppah, where a rabbi incorporated both Jewish and Hindu traditions into the day. The rustic reception embraced plenty of metallic décor with bright pops of color, and guests took photos in a vintage Volkswagen photo bus.

Our favorite #MakeTradition Moment: “Flower garlands were exchanged, blessings over wine were had, the ketubah was read and, in addition to the traditional ring exchange, Scott put a mangalsutra necklace and red vermillion powder in Roshni's hair,” the couple says.
