A Rustic, Hillside Wedding at Wagon Wheel Acres in Dover, Arkansas
Florals and wood were the theme for Caroline Beavers (26 and a graphic designer and a cosmetologist) and Chandler Tedder's (24 and a rental manager) nuptials. Chandler is a woodworker, so many of these details were his brainchild: the bench he proposed to her with, the arch and the wooden bow ties he gave his groomsmen. The same pink, blush, coral and deep red tones were used in the garden-party-style arrangements in the bouquet and table arrangements. The couple wanted an outdoor wedding, so they chose Wagon Wheel Acres, which has indoor and outdoor features, including a barn. “The ceremony for us was about our story. We wanted everyone present to be encouraged by how God had led us to himself, had made us whole individually and led us to each other,” Caroline says. Caroline and Chandler's first act as a married couple was a foot-washing ceremony. Caroline's bridal gown featured a sweetheart neckline, a lace bodice accessorized with a belt and an understated veil. The groom and groomsmen wore khaki pants and suspenders with white shirts. Bridesmaids wore long dresses in different colors to reflect the shades of the flowers. After the ceremony, guests moved into the barn for the reception, which was draped in white fabric and flowers. The late-afternoon wedding included the couple’s favorite bites, including cotton candy, sandwiches and chocolate chip cookies. The wedding cake featured four tiers, including chocolate and strawberry with buttercream icing, accented with gold and flowers. Milk and cookies were also served, instead of a groom’s cake. Caroline and Chandler's first dance was to “Love Me Tender” by Norah Jones, which also included a dance with their parents. Even in the sunshine, they exited to sparklers. —Caroline Eubanks
