A Rustic Garden Wedding at Dallidet Adobe in San Luis Obispo, California
One night in college, Kelly needed a ride home and Jason came to her rescue! Three and a half years later (with some long-distance dating under their belts and a few moves around the state of California), Jason and Kelly were driving up to San Francisco when Kelly was trying to be helpful removing his bag from the car. "It was so heavy!" she says. "I said, 'What do you have in here, rocks?' as a joke. But, only a few days later he brought her down under the Golden Gate Bridge and wrote out a message in the sand -- with a ton of rocks -- that said, 'Kelly, marry me?'" Since the pair met in San Luis Obispo, they decided to celebrate their marriage there at Dallidet Adobe. "We wanted to have an outdoor wedding and when we visited the Dallidet, we fell in love with the gardens and the historic setting. We had often ridden our bikes past its gates and wondered what was inside," Kelly says. "It seemed fitting to get married in such a beautiful place that had always caught our attention." The couple exchanged vows in a courtyard setting with a rustic, garden aesthetic that included wooden tree stumps, a massive tree branch arbor and sweet floral accents, like burgundy dahlias, foxglove and wisteria.
