A Rustic Wedding at Kinney Bungalow at Sunset Farms in Narragansett, Rhode Island

Ashley and Lyndsey's summery wedding brought together two totally different vibes -- farm and beach -- and totally made it work. Ashley proposed to Lyndsey after they dated for six months before getting engaged. "We went to the beach super late one night in August, it was a full moon and the waves were huge. I nervously held the ring in my sweatshirt pocket and asked her under the stars. It was awesome," says Ashley. Even though the couple chose to get married on a farm their love of the water and beach proposal influenced much of their wedding decor. With color palette of blue, green, navy and purple they tied together rustic and nautical elements into the wedding day. They were married at Kinney Bungalow and Sunset farms and they chose it because of the amazing sunsets. "Kinney Bungalow is a gorgeous, historic building owned by the town and sits on a beautiful working farm. True to its name, the sunsets there are incredible and we had awesome light for our pictures!" says Ashley. The wedding day was filled with a lot of love and personalized details. The couple wrote the ceremony themselves and it was officiated by a close friend, who happened to be the first openly lesbian state senator. "The ceremony reflected the love we feel for one another and the gratitude we had for our friends and family and their support for our union," says Ashley.
