A Rustic Farm Wedding at the Ironstone Ranch in Elizabethtown, Pennsylvania

Christina Lakin, 27, a physician at WellSpan York Hospital, and Travis Doll, 30, an electrical engineer at Ventura Solutions, were in the same calculus class at Dickinson College. They bonded over a prank that Travis pulled on Christina in class, and since then were together throughout college and well after graduation. Seven years after they started dating, Travis and Christina traveled to Utah for a winter getaway and went out to dinner one night at a log cabin restaurant. Travis gave their waiter a camera to take a picture of the two of them in front of the fireplace, but really selected the video setting so his proposal to Christina was recorded. When looking for the ideal wedding venue, the couple came across Ironstone Ranch in Elizabethtown, Pennsylvania and fell in love with the rustic charm of the small barn, beautiful landscape and overall farm setting. The bride wore an ivory tulle ball gown by Matthew Christopher, providing the "soft, romantic and classic, but with a bit of a whimsical twist" look Christina was looking for. "To make the look my own, I added a custom lace topper with long sleeves and pearl buttons held in place by an ivory satin belt," Christina says. "I wore the topper during the ceremony, along with a cathedral-length ivory tulle veil. For the reception, I removed my veil and topper, and changed into a sparkly headpiece and embellished belt."
