A Rustic Fall Wedding at Whonnock Lake Centre in British Columbia, Canada
Vanessa Pepin (29, a Project Coordinator) and Jason Stevens (29, a Carpenter) both love Fall and wanted to get married in October. Their ceremony and reception at Whonnock Lake Centre in British Columbia overlooked the forest and a large lake and was the perfect setting for their Autumn wedding. The couple let the Fall season inspire their color palette and decor--purple tablecloths and chair sashes were paired with curly willow branch centerpieces with hanging crystals and candles. Mini pumpkins and candle votives rounded out the rustic centerpiece decor. After a full Thanksgiving dinner (the couple got married during the Thanksgiving long weekend) of turkey, stuffing, ham and scalloped potatoes followed by an elaborate dessert buffet with cupcakes, pies and cake, everyone danced the night away. "To encourage dancing, we requested that our guests write down a couple of songs they would like to hear at our wedding on their RSVP cards. We provided the list to our DJ with the hope that if our guests heard "their song" it would get them on the dance floor," Vanessa says.
