The Inn at Wild Rose Hall is a country home turned wedding venue in a naturally beautiful spot in Austin, Texas. The venue was just what Carly Marshall (26 and a teacher) and Tommy Glicker (25 and an engineer) were looking for: rustic, casual and an Austin feel. Heavenly Day Events helped the couple plan their perfect laid-back day, beginning with a heartfelt and intensely personalized ceremony outdoors. Carly’s favorite season is fall, and she knew she wanted to include those warm colors in her wedding. She asked her florist, Wild Bunches Floral, to create Texas wildflower-inspired bouquets, and was blown away by the results. To give their wedding a down-to-earth feel, Carly and Tommy used DIY decor such as Hill Country wooden stumps topped with jars and vases of wildflowers, and included Carly’s late grandmother’s vintage china in each place setting. A cool detail? Carly and Tommy love board games and often host game nights at their house, so they included a word search on their ceremony programs to keep guests entertained while waiting for the main event (as well as a Scrabble-tile-inspired cake topper). At the end of the night, Carly and Tommy sent their guests home with dog treats for their four-legged friends, who sadly couldn’t attend the wedding (though luckily their own dog, Simba, got to walk down the aisle as best dog). See the details, beautifully captured by Eureka Photography, below.

Rustic Wooden 'Ceremony' Sign
Fall-Inspired Bridesmaid Bouquet
Carly was very close with her grandparents, who were cotton farmers, so of course she got her all-cotton wedding dress from the Cotton Bride. The strapless style with a detailed skirt was cute and comfortable for the outdoor occasion.
Carly wanted her bouquet to look as if it were swept up from a field of wildflowers. The wild, undone arrangement included the fall colors she loves—red, orange and yellow—with standout sunflowers to complete the look.
The invitations were printed on kraft paper and tied with twine to give them a natural, rustic feel.
Carly made sure her bridesmaids felt comfortable, and all agreed on a chiffon floor-length dress in eggplant purple. The groomsmen wore dark gray tuxes with eggplant purple ties to match, but for a touch of whimsy, they all wore funky socks.
Stumps topped with jars of wildflowers added a natural touch to the rustic, outdoor ceremony aisle.
String Lighting for Barn Reception
Carly wanted to include her late grandmother in the wedding, so she mixed her vintage china sets with rented and antique mismatched china patterns to create the place settings at the reception.
Fall Wildflowers on DIY Wooden Slab Centerpieces
For board game lovers Carly and Tommy, this cake topper inspired by Scrabble tiles was perfect. Their striped ivory wedding cake, made by Chez Zee, sat on a wooden slab surrounded by wildflowers.
Carly and Tommy love dogs. Their wedding favors were dog treats for their guests to take home and share with their four-legged friends, who were unfortunately unable to attend the wedding.
