A Rustic Fall Wedding at Old Glory Ranch in Wimberley, Texas

Since Whitney Dubuisson (25, a child life specialist) and Jordan Dubuisson (25, a geophysicist) got engaged at the picturesque spot on their college campus where they first met, it’s no surprise that their Texas wedding had so many romantic and unique touches.“Jordan and I both have ties to Austin and the Texas Hill Country,” Whitney says. “When imagining a place that felt both peaceful and romantic, neither of us could think of a better setting than the rolling hills and breathtaking vistas on Old Glory's property. We both wanted to be married in a church but loved the convenience of our guests not having to travel to a separate reception site. The Chapel Hall, (which converts from a traditional chapel complete with tolling bells to a reception hall and dance floor) was the perfect venue. There was an altar for our vows, a stage for the band and a beautiful outdoor patio.”Whitney and Jordan’s colors were a contrast between natural elements from moss green, soft earthy gray and petal pink to the rich jewel tones of magenta and turquoise. "One of the most unique aspects of our wedding were the mini donkeys Old Glory provides during cocktail hour that serve as cocktail waiters," Whitney says. "Equipped with little saddle bags, the donkeys added a rustic and quirky touch while our guests sampled traditional Texas appetizers. The beer selection was a nod to our family's heritage with choices from both Texan and Alaskan breweries. We danced the night away to great band from Austin and loved running through the sparklers under the big Texas sky as we headed off to Hawaii!"
