A Rustic Fall Wedding at Jorgensen Farms in Columbus, Ohio

Lauren Noyes (29 and a program manager) and James Byerly (29 and an estimator) actually met during their junior year of high school, but never got to know one one other until after graduation. After a few years of on-and-off dating, the pair realized that they had something special and decided to make things official. Fast forward three years later, James popped the question on a vacation in California. "I’ll admit, prior to the proposal, he was driving me nuts, but his nervous behavior was soon explained when he took me to a park under the guise of 'getting our picture taken because we didn't have many of just us two.' He got down on one knee and proposed," says Lauren. "I was so surprised, obviously in a good way. I said yes and the rest is history!"The couple opted for an autumnal affair at Jorgensen Farms in Columbus, OH, which offered a rustic, serene setting with plenty of places to host each part of the wedding's festivities. The couple exchanged vows in an outdoor ceremony in the farm's picturesque flower field, followed by a lively cocktail hour in the main barn and a night of dinner and dancing in the farm's arena. "What the beauty of the venue doesn't reflect in photos is the warmth, courtesy, helpfulness, and all around wonderful nature of the Jorgensen staff and owner," says Lauren. "It was obvious upon our first meeting that we would be treated like family and that expectation was met ten-fold. I credit them with the overall success of the wedding day festivities." The couple kept things simple when it came to the decor, opting for a palette of soft neutrals to complement the rustic barn setting. The only exception? The flowers. "I wanted them as bright, vibrant, and varied as possible," says Lauren. "My only instructions were nothing pastel and the more interesting looking the flower, the better."
