A Rustic, Elegant Wedding at Centaur Arabian Farms in Flint, Texas

Haley Morgan (25 and a speech-language pathologist) and Joe DeZelle (29 and a minister) met at Green Acres Baptist Church in Tyler, Texas. “I was coming down the stairs from the balcony when I saw the most tall dark and handsome man I had ever seen in my life,” says Haley. “My friend introduced us and I immediately felt weak at the knees.” The couple dated for awhile before long-distance took the couple in separate directions, but years later, they rekindled their relationship in Dallas, Texas. On a drive back to Tyler, Haley and Joe stopped at Green Acres Baptist Church. They reenacted the way they met, and as Haley reached the bottom of the stairs, Joe got down on one knee. The couple had their wedding ceremony in the very same church where they met and got engaged. Their reception followed at Centaur Arabian Farms in a rustic, refurbished barn with a classy, vintage atmosphere decorated in romantic earth tones. “Joe and I both grew up outside in the country and have Texas roots planted deep in our souls,” says Haley. Guests danced their heart out on the dance floor indoors and could venture outside to a fire pit to get cozy by the fire pit and make s’mores. In lieu of wedding favors, the couple made a donation to the ministry that Joe works for an to an organization that supports children in Zambia, Africa.
