A Rustic DIY Wedding at Tiber Canyon Ranch in San Luis Obispo, California

Sophia Larrea (29 and a case manager for seniors) and Nate Blumenkrantz (31 and a solar contractor) searched all over the San Francisco Bay area for the ideal wedding venue, and found the outdoor rustic, vintage ambience they were looking for at Tiber Canyon Ranch in San Luis Obispo, California. Instead of picking a specific color palette, the couple decided to go with a generic spring/summer combination that included as many colors as they desired. Before the wedding, the couple purchased flowers at a local farm and gave them to their florist to create arrangements. DIY elements were seen throughout the wedding, from the chuppah made with Sophia’s mother’s veil to the chalkboard table numbers and even an old school bus for transportation that Nick’s cousin just happened to own! Dinner was served family style at the long dining tables dressed in white tablecloths, decorated with colorful napkins and flower centerpieces. “So many parts of the wedding were "us”,” Sophia says. “We are a fun-loving, laidback couple that really enjoys spending time with our family and friends, and we tried to integrate our loved ones through out the day to make sure this happened!”
