A Rustic DIY Wedding at The Orchard Event Venue in Azle, Texas
Nicole Buckreis (28 and a speech language pathologist) and Jaime (Andres) Burgoa (31 and a Telecom engineer) met through a mutual friend at EdgeFest, an annual music concert festival in Dallas, Texas. The couple dated for five years, living together in Spain and Dallas before their engagement in New York City’s Central Park. Nicole and Andres’ wedding day took place at The Orchard Event Venue in Azle, Texas. The ceremony took place outdoors under a wooden arch with baby’s breath and draped linen, followed by a cocktail hour under a covered patio and indoor reception. The bride won her dress from Pronovias in an “On the White Carpet” competition, where they flew Nicole and her sister to New York City to select a dress from the Pronovias store. Nicole wore Gambia by Manuel Mota, featuring a tulle and lace overlay and tied tulle straps. The wedding was full of details from the couple’s loved ones, since their family was very involved in the planning and in their lives. Andres’ cousin was ordained so that he could marry the Nicole and Andres. Andres’ aunts prepared a special sweet to accompany the cakes on the dessert table. The bride’s mother made a sign that had the location of every guest that traveled to the wedding outside the Dallas-Ft. Worth Metroplex, along with other wooden signs with the help of Nicole’s father. Andres is from Bolivia, so the couple sent each guest home with a small Bolivian tortora reed boat that was specially built by craftsmen from Suriqui Island on Lake Titicaca in Bolivia.
