A Rustic DIY Wedding at Skyline Ranch in Groveland, Florida
Krisztina, 26, and Adam, 24, wanted a wedding that reflected their individual personalities and relationship as a couple. The Skyline Ranch in Groveland, Florida reflected Adam's "country woodsman" personality and Krisztina's desire to get married by the water, says Krisztina. However, their focus was on tradition. "The main theme and inspiration behind the day was to recreate the age old saying of southern hospitality," says Krisztina. Their wedding colors were coral, burlap brown, and the bride's favorite color, turquoise. The colors were reflected throughout the day as well as within the Bride's hair in the form of coral and white roses. Keeping with their rustic decor, Krisztina and Adam chose a a sit-down family style dinner for their reception. Guests also enjoyed various lawn games, a horse petting zoo, face painting and a snow cone bar after the ceremony. The couple wanted to "create a comfortable and fun atmosphere where guests could sit back relax and enjoy the afternoon," says Krisztina. They also added a personal touch to the day. Krisztina, Adam and their wedding party, worked to make the various signs, wooden benches, lawn games and other accents found throughout their wedding. The couple made their exit under an arch of sparklers held by their friends and family.
