A Rustic DIY Wedding at Magnolia Manor Plantation in Warrenton, NC

Natalie Vaders (26 and a business analyst) and Judson (Jud) Killion (29 and a solution consultant) started studying for their French class together after meeting at Duke University. Five years later, Jud surprised Natalie with a box of new wine glasses. "I noticed that they were engraved with my future initials, and when I looked up from them, Jud was on one knee holding the ring," says Natalie. "He had to do it out of the blue—while I was watching TV in my pajamas—in order to catch me off guard or else I would've known what he was up to!" With the help of Natalie's mom, the pair planned a rustic fall wedding at Magnolia Manor Plantation in Warrenton, North Carolina. Seasonal white pumpkins lined the outdoor aisle for the pecan orchard ceremony before guests were invited to enjoy a full barbecue inside the homey Carriage House. In honor of Natalie's masters degree in Library Sciences, vintage library cards led guests to their seats. Natalie and her mother collected mixed vintage place settings leading up to the laid-back celebration in order to add an eclectic feel. "I wanted everything to be very classic and slightly vintage inspired instead of too modern or trendy," says Natalie.
