A Rustic DIY Wedding at Crooked Creek Ranch in Cedar, Michigan

Between the DIY wine bottle centerpieces, scenic ceremony backdrop and one seriously-unique brooch bouquet, we can't decide which detail from Alyssa Gaglio (24) and Matthew Jarvis's (30) ranch wedding we love most. One thing is for certain though, the newlyweds couldn't have picked a more picture-perfect venue for their rustic September celebration. "Since we grew up boating around Lake St. Clair, we wanted a space with water and a country feel to it," Alyssa explains. Since the wedding was a destination for both the newlyweds and their friends and family downstate, the Lake Leelenau locale was the ideal venue for sightseeing in the days leading up to the wedding. Dressed in a champagne-colored gown complete with a pearl-beaded belt and cowboy boots, Alyssa and Matt tied the knot under an apple blossom tree accompanied by their daughter and flower girl, Brinley. "My grandma made Brinley's outfit because we wanted something simple for her since she's so small," Alyssa says of the sweet, handmade dress. After their heartfelt tree-planting ceremony came to a close, guests retreated to a nearby tent for hors d'oeuvres and cocktails before making their way to the barn for a night full of dinner, desserts and dancing. It was there that all of Alyssa's unique DIY details were put on full display. Escort cards were strung on vintage windowpanes while luggage tag table numbers and twine-wrapped wine bottles added just the right amount of rustic flair. The couple's wedding favors were even DIY, as guests took home jars of jam made by Alyssa's aunt and wrapped in both lace and burlap. From a tearful first look to an emotional outdoor ceremony, take a peek at all of the details captured by Dan Stewart Photography, below:
