A Rustic, Country Wedding at Westwood Plateau in Coquitlam, British Columbia

Chelsea Pulice (25 and a financial aid officer) and Jason Pulice (27 and a plumber) met through their mutual friends and after just one date were completely smitten. When Jason decided to propose, he enlisted the help of their dog, Kombat. Jason tied a bow around Kombat’s neck with the ring and had Chelsea call the dog over to her. “I noticed the bow and as I was inspecting what it was, Jay walked up to me and knelt down,” says Chelsea. “Then he untied the ring from the bow and asked me to be his wife!” For their wedding, the couple chose the Westwood Plateau in Coquitlam as the spot to celebrate. The venue’s exposed wooden beams and impressive fireplace had a distinct rustic, country feel that tied in seamlessly with Chelsea and Jason’s vision. Drawing inspiration from Pinterest, the couple decorated the space with burlap table runners, Mason jars, hundreds of candles and birdcages, bringing their idea of a romantic, country wedding to life. Chelsea walked down the aisle wearing her favorite cowboy boots and worked with their DJ, Rob Steele from Steele Productions to create the ultimate country music playlist for the reception that kept guests dancing long into the night.
