A Rustic Country Club Wedding at Old York Country Club in Chesterfield, New Jersey

Courtney Hankamer (32 and a project manager) and Joseph Butler (28 and a managing partner) met during a job interview for a seasonal hosting position at a local restaurant. After the holidays were over and Courtney left the job, the two crossed paths again and began dating shortly after. With a shared love for golf, Joseph proposed to Courtney on the 17th hole at a golf course in New Hope, Pennsylvania. After finishing up the round, the newly engaged couple were joined in the clubhouse by their family, friends and a champagne toast to celebrate. Courtney and Joseph tied the knot at St. Gregory the Great's Catholic Church in Hamilton, New Jersey, near Joseph's family. Entirely designed around the Preakness horse race, the wedding decor was specifically selected for the reception venue, an old horse stable that was transformed into a ballroom. As if by fate, the horse stable was directly adjacent to a golf course where Courtney and Joseph were able to take their wedding photos. Following suit with the design of the reception, the couple offered their guests the signature drink of the Preakness, a Black-Eyed Susan in bell jars with custom straws. During the cocktail hour, the newlyweds and their guests were able to place bets for fun and watch the two-minute horse race with drink in hand. "Our guests are what made our wedding so special; they were genuinely happy and excited to celebrate with us," says Courtney.
