A Rustic-Chic Wedding with a Natural Twist at Grace Maralyn Estate in Atascadero, California

The hilly landscape speckled with foliage that surrounded The Grace Maralyn Estate in Atascadero, California, served as the perfect backdrop for this rustic-chic outdoor wedding. “As we were touring the venue, we knew immediately that it was the perfect place for us,” Chelsea says. “It had a beautiful outdoor area that felt like our own backyard, and a rustic feel that fit our styles.” The color palette of natural pastels and earth tones combined with burlap and wood detail created the ambience that the couple had envisioned -- from the soft rose, chrysanthemum and scabiosa pod arrangements by April Flowers to the burlap cloths and wood numbers decorating tabletop surfaces. The ceremony took place outside, underneath a white metal gazebo, where lavender petals were passed out to guests for tossing during their recessional, captured by Ballad's Photography. The wedding party complemented the natural hues of the occasion perfectly, with bridesmaids wearing a variety of green dresses and groomsmen wearing brown suspenders with green ties. At the reception, an array of sweets were arranged for guests to take advantage of at the dessert bar, including cake balls drizzled with caramel, mini pies with a jelly center attached to sticks, and of course a traditional three-tiered wedding cake wrapped in orange lace! Delicious eye candy aside, what really caught our attention was the bejeweled headpiece Chelsea wore that elegantly dangled in the front, giving her look a bit of a boho twist. “Don't stress on the small things, because on the day of the event, it won't even matter,” Chelsea says. “Focus on celebrating your love and starting the rest of your lives together.”
