A Rustic Bold-Colored Wedding at the Greenbriar Inn in Boulder, Colorado

With super-active lifestyles, including triathlon competitions, Ironman races and alpine skiing, Erin Dorning (37 and a physicians assistant) and Kara Stone (40 and an environmental scientist) knew they wanted to get married in a place that embodied their love for sports; Boulder, Colorado, was the perfect fit. As equally passionate foodies, Erin and Kara chose the Greenbriar Inn for its amazing food and rustic aura. Although the couple exchanged vows in the winter, they wanted a bold palette to welcome in spring. Shades of lime green, turquoise and yellow brought the details to life and DIY touches added a personal feel. Kara’s parents pitched in to bring the reception details to life, such as the wooden escort cards and the twig and wildflower centerpieces. One of our favorite details, though, was the tandem-bike prints in everything from the groomsmen’s bow ties to the matchbox favors. There are so many details we love—see them all, beautifully captured by Beth Sanders from Beth Photography, below.
