A Rustic Boho Wedding at Pat's Hall in Fredericksburg, Texas

The Texas Hill Country-inspired wedding of Kayla Fritz (24 and a graphic designer) and Glen Bridgewaters (25 and a teacher and coach) was an organic blend of the couple’s laid-back style, natural beauty and local comfort at Pat’s Hall in Fredericksburg, Texas. “It was a little modern, a little rustic and a little boho,” the bride says. Her wedding dress seamlessly fit into the theme: Kayla wore a champagne spaghetti strap dress with a sweetheart neckline, tiered ruffles and beaded embellishments. “The moment I saw my wedding dress online, I knew that was it,” she says. As for decor to accent the natural landscape, Kayla says, “I was initially inspired by wooden decor and cotton.” She and Glen exchanged vows in an outdoor ceremony under a large oak tree. At their reception, guests dined on local barbecue at tables topped with branches of cotton bolls in vases surrounded by greenery. Kayla and Glen opted out of a wedding cake, and instead served miniature pies in individual jars to reflect their personal tastes. “We felt that the pies, cotton and laid-back atmosphere best reflected us as a couple,” Kayla says. The bride offers her advice for couples planning their own wedding: “Always remember that this is your wedding day as a couple. Make certain things a priority, and let others complement those priorities. We had a longer engagement, so it was easier to decide what was important to us.”
