A Rustic Beach-Themed Wedding at a Private Residence in Carrollton, Virginia

Allison King (22 and an office and marketing manager) and Chance Violette (24 and a sales representative) had a beach-themed wedding with a rustic twist in their friend's backyard. Their friend's house is on the James River in Carrollton, Virginia, so the waterfront setting perfectly complemented their beach theme. Their ceremony took place on the lawn with the reception under a tent near the water. Beachy elements included the mason jar wedding favors with starfish motifs, the starfish accents in the bouquets and the lantern centerpieces surrounded by seashells. Allison and Chance chose a soft color palette of gray and pale yellow for their fall event. Allison's bridesmaids wore long, gray dresses while her junior bridesmaids wore similar dresses in pale yellow. Chance and his groomsmen matched them in pale yellow ties and gray suits and vests. The tented reception was illuminated by pink and purple uplighting as well as a gobo that projected the couple's names throughout the tent. Lanterns hanging from the canopy added a whimsical touch to the decor. For a rustic twist, the dining tables were covered in lace tablecloths and numbered with chalkboard signs. At the end of the night, Allison and Chance exited the party with a splash—the couple and their wedding party jumped into the nearby pool in full wedding attire!
