A Rustic Barn Wedding at The Peach Barn in Tifton, Georgia

Jaimee Rister, 25, a yoga instructor and Brandon Schick, 26, a petroleum salesman met while working together at an Italian restaurant during college. It was on St. Patrick's day that Brandon finally decided to propose, presenting Jaimee with a vintage-inspired oval solitaire engagement ring. The couple planned a fun, laid-back affair for 125 of their family members and friends at The Peach Barn in Tifton, Georgia. The couple and their guests gathered on the venue's expansive lawn for a simple ceremony overlooking the sparkling waters of Lake Garvey and acres of Georgia Pines. The couple exchanged vows under a quaint floral arbor before heading over to the The Peach Barn itself, a rustic wood barn with plenty of old world charm for an evening filled with fun and relaxation. After their original caterer went out of business, the couple found a food truck, Freckled & Blue, to cater the event, serving up unique southern fare and an unique experience that was a big hit with their guests, many of whom traveled from the North to attend the wedding. DIY touches like handcrafted arrangements of wildflowers (and Jaimee's perfectly bohemian flower crown) from local farmers markets, handwritten chalkboard signs, a vintage cake topper and over 20 different homemade pies made by Jaimee's grandmother added a personal touch to the day and seamlessly tied into the laid-back country vibe of the day. Live music performed by the band Chillula got guests up and dancing and kept the party going late into the night.
