A Rustic Barn Wedding at the County Line Orchard in Hobart, Indiana

For their rustic-inspired nuptials at the County Line Orchard, Katie (30 and a pharmacist) and Keth (31 and a doctor) channeled their love of Southern California's wine country. "Keth and I fell in love after visiting Temecula -- we would go wine tasting every chance we could and even made our own wine!" Katie explains. "Getting married at a winery with vineyard-covered hills in the background was our dream." But with a midwest-wedding in the works, the couple instead chose to tie the knot in Hobart at the County Line Orchard. "The apple orchard had everything I dreamed of," Katie says. Including rows upon rows of apple trees that provided an intimate outdoor setting for the ceremony and a large, rustic barn perfect for the couple's reception. "Keth had recently become quite the woodworker, so the setting just seemed so perfect for us," Katie says. Aside from handmade wooden signs and a custom-made card holder, the groom even went so far as to learn calligraphy so he could hand write each of the escort cards and address the invitation envelopes! "He was such a big help with the decor and was more than willing to work on projects for our big day," Katie says. After tying the knot under a wooden wedding arch, the couple posed for photos while guests enjoyed a cocktail hour and later, dinner in the barn. "I wanted to keep things simple, with twinkle lights and lots of white and wood," the bride explains. Food and decorations aside, Katie says the most memorable part of the night was when her new husband surprised her at the reception with a performance of 'Stolen': "I'm a lucky girl to have such a wonderful, creative husband who added such a unique touch to our wedding," she gushes.
