A Rustic Barn Wedding at Owls Hoot Barn in West Coxsackie, New York

Lauren Cecere (31, manager of New Studio Openings at SoulCycle) and Claudio Scandiffio (32, store manager at Eastern Mountain Sports) met at a bar on the Upper West Side in Manhattan.“We were friends for a few months and started dating in August of 2004,” Lauren says. “It was serious from the very beginning. Nine years later in our apartment in the Bronx, Claudio asked me to spend the rest of my life with him, and I said yes immediately. 51 weeks later we said ‘I do.’ We got married at Owls Hoot Barn in West Coxsackie, New York. We spend a lot of our time upstate in the outdoors and wanted to share that part of our lives with our friends and family. When we went to visit the site, it was a chilly December day. The barn and grounds were not complete at this point. (2014 was their first year open.) But Kerri's (the owner) enthusiasm for OHB had us from the moment we stepped out of the car. OHB was the first and only venue we visited. After the ceremony, we went directly into the outdoor cocktail reception. Think of an Italian market, fresh brick oven pizza, seasonal salads, porchetta, arancini, local draft beers and open bar and an acoustic set by The Silver Arrow Band. High top tables and wire spools were placed throughout the area.”
