A Rustic Barn Wedding at Jasper House Farm in Pleasant Hill, Oregon

Alyssa Williamson (24, an emergency room technician and paramedic) and Ryan Charboneau (27, a firefighter) met while they were taking care of a patient together in an ambulance. Alyssa got frustrated at Ryan for not starting an IV on the patient right away, but at the end of the day she was curious and wanted to get to know him more. After initially meeting, Alyssa and Ryan began to talk as friends and found they had a lot in common. What began as a friendship turned into a romantic relationship over time, and they both realized they wanted to get married. Ryan and Alyssa went on a hike on Valentine’s Day to check out a new trail Ryan had been talking about. As they were hiking, the couple stopped when a confused Alyssa spotted a framed picture of the couple with a letter and rose. They continued up to the top of the trail, where a blanket was laid out with of their favorite snacks. That’s when Ryan got down on one knee and proposed to Alyssa with a round cut diamond, accented with more diamonds going down each shank. The couple got married at Jasper House Farm where they had their simple yet elegant occasion. The pink, mint green and gold color palette decorated many elements of the wedding day, from the bride’s mint green converse sneakers to the pink snapdragons arranged in all of the bouquets. “Overall, I think what really made the day was just how simple and relaxed the day was,” says Alyssa. “Everyone had a good time and really enjoyed themselves, which is exactly what I wanted.”
