A Rustic Barn Wedding at Belcroft Estates in Gilford, Ontario

Jennifer Philp (30, an Event Manager) and Ryan Oldham (29, a Sanitary Engineer) both liked the look of a country, rustic theme. "Ryan's family are farmers, and he grew up on a farm his whole life--his parents are still running their family farm," Jennifer says. "To incorporate a rustic theme to our wedding was important to both of us." The couple held their wedding at Belcroft Estates, with a reception in the large barn on the grounds. A light and neutral color palette was inspired by the summer season. "I wanted the whole look to be fresh and simple," Jennifer says. Big barn crates filled with flowers, old wooden signs with "Reserved" painted on them for the ceremony chairs, burlap table runners and wooden boxes filled with flowers for the centerpieces unified the fresh, rustic theme the couple wanted. The couple's favorite decor item was their card box. "Ryan's family found an old mailbox that was Ryan's Great Grandpa's mailbox, with his family name on the side. We cleaned it up for our card holder," Jennifer says.
