A Rustic Backyard Wedding at a Private Residence in Metter, Georgia

Ten months after Jessica Brinson and Rand Hendrix got engaged, the couple chose a place close to their hearts for their laid-back wedding: their home. "We think it's beautiful, simple and quiet," Jessica says. "It's just us." The pair utilized the property's unfinished barn and existing wood pergola to bring their rustic outdoor wedding to life. "It'll be exciting to tell our kids, 'This is where we got married,'" Jessica says. Guests took their seats on rented benches and church pews, while a whitewashed, wood bench doubled as a guest book. Icelandic-blue bridesmaid dresses brightened up the fall foliage-inspired bouquets and gardens. Cowhide rugs, gold candelabras and vintage furniture gave the unfinished space a more rustic feel. In addition to s'mores and cigars, guests were treated to a  sour cream pound cake with buttercream, topped with sliced pomegranates and fresh blooms, plus a Key lime-flavored groom's cake.—Caroline Eubanks
