A Rustic, Autumnal Wedding at Moody Mountain Farm in Wolfeboro, New Hampshire
Megan Wayt (29 and an event coordinator) and Sasha Meyer (28 and a planner) planned a rustic, country wedding with a contemporary edge at Moody Mountain Farm in Wolfeboro, New Hampshire. The pair call South Carolina home, but they found themselves drawn to the natural beauty of Sasha’s home state of New Hampshire. Megan, a California native, had attended a wedding at Moody Mountain Farm, falling in love with New England’s iconic fall foliage and the venue’s intimate vibe. After Sasha popped the question, she knew it would be the perfect backdrop for their early October nuptials. A sunken garden overlooking the Granite State’s rolling hills and majestic mountains hosted the ceremony, with Megan and Sasha exchanging vows under a beautiful tree covered in fiery red leaves. Guests arrived in a vintage trolley and sipped on spiked cider in the crisp autumn air. Cocktail hour and the reception saw a fusion of modern, glam and rustic styles, with gilded accents styled alongside textured arrangements of moss, vines, wild greenery and classic blooms like garden roses and dahlias, all designed by the bride’s aunt. Megan’s mother handcrafted playful fringed, polka-dot linens for the tables and vintage-inspired bottles marked with gold numbers helped guests find their seats. A whiskey-tasting bar put a twist on cocktail hour, and a stocked photo booth with a custom backdrop kept guests entertained when they needed to rest their dancing feet. A tip from Megan and Sasha: “Sit down with your partner before starting the planning process and determine what's most important to you on the big day, whether it’s the music, the food or the decor. It’ll help prioritize how to budget.”
