A Rooftop Wedding at The Caramel Room at Bissingers in St. Louis, Missouri

For Katie Zimmer (25 and a development manager), the hunt for the perfect wedding dress mimicked that of her mother’s nearly 30 years before. “I bought my gown at the same Chicago shop where my mom bought hers in 1988,” Katie says. The A-line design came equipped with a detachable 10-foot train. Katie wore it to marry Mike Kellar (31 and a Morning Drive host on Q104), who rocked a dapper gray suit for the occasion. “Mike and I both have larger-than-life personalities,” Katie says. That's why the couple chose to seal the deal at The Caramel Room at Bissingers. “We needed a showstopping venue that would leave people talking.” A floating acrylic stand displayed a marbled fondant cake layered with lemon buttercream and raspberry jam. Clusters of peonies and succulents dotted dining tables, where guests sipped signature chocolate martinis.
