A Romantic, Whimsical Wedding at Alfond Inn in Winter Park, Florida

Alexandra Brosokas (27 and an account director) and Ryan Dodds (30 and a product manager) met through fate at a local bar in their hometown of Winter Park, FL. After years together, Ali and Ryan moved to San Francisco, CA where they started a new adventure together. There, while overlooking the bay at sunset, Ryan proposed to Ali. They had their ceremony at the Knowles Memorial Chapel and their reception at the Alfond Inn both in Winter Park. "After getting engaged, we started planning what seemed like the perfect California wedding," Ali says. "In starting the process, we kept being drawn back to the sentimentality of a wedding in our hometown." Their color palette of blush and gold with accents of black and white created the style they were looking for. "We wanted the feel to be romantic and ethereal but also modern and fun," Ali says. Ali's favorite detail of the wedding was the flower arrangements. The bouquets were a combination of blush and white peonies, alstroemerias and baby's breath. From the save the dates to the centerpiece holders, Ali created a lot of the decor herself. "It was important that we stay true to who we were as a couple," Ali says. With its timeless and whimsical decor, Ali and Ryan's wedding proved to be the perfect combination of "romantic and ethereal."
