A Romantic Wedding at Francis Marion Hotel in Charleston, South Carolina

Jennifer Poles (28 and an assistant manager) and Blake Amick (28 and a store manager) wanted their wedding to reflecting their love of family, family traditions, and family history. Jennifer and her family are descendants of William Sayle, the founder of Charleston, South Carolina, so the couple chose to hold their wedding in a city filled with family history. A color palette of blush pastels with teal accents complemented the natural beauty of their surroundings. Jennifer wore her maternal grandmother's wedding cap from her wedding in the 1950s; this piece inspired the rest of her bridal attire: a modern Grace Kelly inspired gown with a sleeveless lace top with a button back and a satin skirt. Teal suede heels gave Jennifer her something blue and added a pop of color to her ensemble. Jennifer's bouquet was overflowing with blush and white cabbage roses, hydrangeas, anemones, and dusty miller. The couple exchanged vows at the Church of the Blessed Sacrament, in a traditional Catholic ceremony. The reception was held at the Francis Marion Hotel, which the couple chose cause of its historic significance—the building was erected in 1924.
