A Romantic Wedding at Chapel of Our Saviour in Colorado Springs, Colorado

Sometimes tossing tradition—or kicking your shoes off—is exactly what your wedding needs. That's what Natalie Alexander (24 and a consultant) did when she walked down the aisle toward Justin Kliewer (27 and a medical assistant) at Chapel of our Saviour in Colorado Springs, Colorado. The adorable gesture actually started with Natalie's mother, who had a minor panic attack when she was getting ready to wed her husband. Thinking her hair and veil made her taller than him, she kicked her shoes off, and Natalie was more than happy to do the same. With only a five-month engagement, Natalie and Justin definitely took the its-our-wedding attitude to more than their footwear. They enlisted the help of family and friends to make everything from the invitations to the paper flowers on the walls and the song requests from the RSVP cards. One of our favorite parts was the lemon poppy seed wedding cake from Sweet Daphne Confections, which was so delicious that the newlyweds even snuck into the kitchen to get a few pieces during the reception. There is so much to love about this romantic mint and blush wedding. See all our favorite details, beautifully captured by Sara Joy Photography, below.
