A Romantic Waterfront Wedding at The Lodge at Pebble Beach in California

Amanda Keller and Brian Shortsleeve both work in the entertainment industry—her as a TV producer, and him as a screenwriter. They tied the knot at The Lodge at Pebble Beach because Amanda grew up going there with her late grandmother. “I couldn’t think of a better venue that blended our two backgrounds,” Amanda says. “I am a California native, and Brian is from Massachusetts—the dramatic Northern California coastline reminded me of parts of New England, while also staying very true to my roots.” Brian’s mother, an artist, created a watercolor map and envelope liner for the invitation suite, and the couple welcomed guests with boxes of cookies and rosé. After a ceremony on the water, everyone headed to cocktail hour for Moscow mules and more, then into the ballroom for the reception. “The space is really unique in that it’s mostly floor-to-ceiling windows, with a high ceiling and wood beams overlooking the ocean,” Amanda says. “As the sun set for dinner, I wanted guests to feel like they were dinning alfresco under the stars. We chose simple string lights and draped them across the ceiling beams, and kept the florals really lush and low-profile so the view wouldn't be obstructed.” A dusty rose color palette tied everything together and gave the reception a romantic vibe.

Our favorite #MakeTradition Moment: Amanda parted with a traditional white gown for her exit, changing into a tulle blush gown with hand-painted gold dots.
